Together, we can provide relief to people working in the comedy industry.

50% of all workers in the comedy industry have lost over half of their annual income.

81% say their mental health has been negatively impacted by job uncertainty.

50% have given serious thought to leaving comedy because of the pandemic, rising to 60% for people of colour.

Support the people that make live comedy happen, so they can keep making you laugh. Donate now.

Why should I donate to the Fund?

It’s been over a year since the first gigs were cancelled and the comedy industry is on its knees – no indoor shows have happened in Scotland and Wales all year, indoor gigs in England won’t be restarting until mid-May at the earliest, and very few gigs and tours are financially viable with social distancing and decreased capacities. That’s why we need help to #SaveLiveComedy – by helping those who make live comedy happen.

With your support, we will distribute grants of £500 in two rounds to those most in financial need, focussing on those who are self-employed, unemployed, or run an organisation that have not received the necessary government support.

You can now donate via our Crowdfunder.

If you are an organisation or individual and would be interested in sponsoring the Fund with a donation of over £10,000, please get in touch.

Who is the Fund For?

The #SaveLiveComedy Fund has been set up to provide emergency support for those who work in live comedy and who have been without the majority of their work since March 2020. It is for those in the industry (both on and off-stage) who are self-employed, run organisations who have been ineligible for existing government support, or who are unemployed as a result of the pandemic.
